Remember Family Promise of Knoxville on National Giving Day!

 Dear Friends of Family Promise,

The Holidays are upon us and today is "National Giving Day." We at Family Promise Knoxville feel we give and receive every day.
We give comfort and shelter to families who are are in the depths of despair having lost a home.  We give a hand up to parents who, because of a lost paycheck or medical bill, have lost their way.
But we receive too!  We receive the hugs of children who are warm and safe. We receive the looks of relief on the faces of parents because they know they can provide for their children and get a hand up in this world.
Our awesome volunteers give and receive. They give countless hours as welcoming hosts at area churches where our families are housed. They make and share the best meals - there is always dessert! They spend the night sleeping on air mattresses - just as the families do.  To a person, our volunteers say they receive so much more than they give: Hugs - Smiles - Thanks.
So on this "National Giving Day" consider making a donation to Family Promise Knoxville.  We promise to stretch to get the most out of every dollar.  We will walk beside our families as they find a home and we will provide education and training necessary to make that home sustainable for years to come.
Join us to end family homelessness one family at a time.

With deep appreciation,

Mary Thomson LeMense
